On the evening of October 8, the national dance drama “Jinxiu Ruige”, which was produced by Wenshan Prefecture Party Committee and Prefecture Government, Beijing Dance Academy, and coordinated and implemented by Wenshan Prefecture Culture and Tourism Bureau, premiered as the opening performance of the seventeenth Yunnan Provincial New Drama (Festival) Exhibition at the Yunnan Provincial Grand Theater.

The stage drama “Jinfang Ruige” is a realistic folk dance drama that celebrates the romantic sentiment of revolutionary heroism. It tells the story of two sisters, Jinfang (Zhuang) and Ahxiu (Yao), whose two different destinies unfold as the main line against the backdrop of the revolutionary era when the old and the new societies are alternating. Through their contrasting personalities, destinies, growth and emotions, the dance drama embeds the background of the changing times and traditional cultural elements into their life situations, looking back and glorifying the magnificent years in the Wenshan region of Yunnan.

The stage drama appropriately integrates the means of dance, music, drama, situation, scenery, clothing, chemistry and light into the work. The dance drama draws nutrition from the rich Zhuang folk literature “Po Nha Song Book”, picks up a heroic story, and combines the story with the special culture of the Zhuang “Po Nha Song Book” in an image interpretation. The visual impact and highlights the national characteristics and charm of the choreography, tension performance, won the audience thunderous applause and praise.
